jazz fest

Friday evening we decided to venture on over to the jazz festival at Washington square in SLC. We hopped on our new locomotive the frontrunner, then grabbed trax and arrived. You just never know what you may encounter at a public gathering and we just wanted to indulge.
We were not disappointed...
just relaxing and enjoying the ambiance, people, nice summer weather, and Jack Jones with the SLC orchestra singing the theme song from the "Love Boat" and watching our friend dance and really "feel" the music.. Here he is in the yellow, but scroll down and watch the video clip that Ryan took of him... It was quite hilarious and we were pretty much gut laughing.

The first part is kind of shaky, but hold on, it gets better!

Here is the Wallace Roney Quintet preforming... but the best part of the performance was what was sitting right in front of us:

Yes, she is a female. And yes, that is her braid. And yes, although you can't see them, she was wearing Dickie's. And no, she did not get those mardi gras beads from us!

Good times at the Jazz Fest! Wanna come with us next year? There is never a dull moment when we venture out together, and the more the merrier!
