farewell st. olaf's

Dare has had an exceptional year at St. Olaf's Catholic School. He has made so many good friends and has grown up in many ways. He's especially grateful for his best friends Holter and Jonah. They are the 3 little muskateers who call each other: Jonie, Holtie, and Darie Berrie.  It's so funny and cute.

Here are a few pics of some of his last activities before school was officially out for the year on Friday May 24, 2019.

mother's day

I'm super impressed with and proud of  this arrangement that Ryan made just for me to wish me a happy Mother's day this year! He used a small part of one of the logs that was used as a support post for Dare's treehouse project ❤️

And, I love my notes from Dare!❤️

arts show

The kids art was on display all last week in the McNamara center. Dare and I went to check it out on Friday afternoon. We were just in time to enjoy Navy's school talent show tryouts!😂

qt

Dare has insisted on playing tennis ALL THE TIME!!!🤯

As cute as it is, as much that I love my child and spending time with him, and as great as he is at the sport he's never been trained in...not at all... the repetition gets tiring. So, on this day I convinced him to take a break and share an icee with me. Ryan caught the moment of pause. I love my boy, and I love my older, wiser boy too...who gets the big picture, and knows where and when to tune in and caputre many of those sweet and simple times...

buddies

Dare loves his friends Jonah (glasses) and Holter (blonde in front of Dare). He mostly mentions them when talking about friends at school, and has had a few play dates with them outside of school. We will have to make sure we stay in touch with them after school lets out, and Dare moves on to a different school...

(no tears mom! no tears😥)

first tooth

The LONG awaited moment finally happened yesterday at school! Dare's FIRST tooth finally decided to stop hanging on, and come out.

"So I heard a pop, and then I felt my tooth, and it just came out! I raised my hand, and Ms. Grafton said to wait a sec, and then I told her:  I just lost as tooth! She asked if it was my first tooth, and I said yes!"

I was already at work when he woke up, so Ryan video called me, and here are a few snaps from that phone call capturing him when he first discovered his tooth fairy surprise!

Five gold coins (dollars) and a letter!!
