I decided that I am going to find my own connection in the mountains and the snow this ski season. I discovered the trailhead at the very bottom of the Maples parking lot at Snow Basin, so I went to explore. The beauty of winter in the still quiet twinkle of the sun on snow spoke to me and calmed my core. It felt right to be in it and exert myself and my body. I think I'll ask Santa for some snow shoes.

brighten with the ricci kiddos

The Ricci's are in town, so Lo called to see if Dare could ski with the Parker, Siena, and Gpa Rod. Of course he was nothing but excited, especially because he was able to ski Brighten for the first time this season. They are great kids, and Dare loves being with them!

poor kid

Dare has had the hardest time with this finger. I kept thinking it would get better, and it just hasn't. So, this evening I took him into Kids Care. He was so brave, and I was very proud of him, while the DR manipulated the cuticle and released some of the pressure so that the infection could drain. He'll be on a 10 day antibiotic and feeling better real soon. Poor kid.

Today was the first day for Sam, Elle, and Lisa at Snowbasin.

Dare was excited to join them and have a buddy to ski with!

football and friendsgiving sunday

Every year Kevin and Abby host Friendsgiving on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. It was a great turnout this year with 30 people total, 13 of them the kiddos. Families included: Osborne/Smith/Albrecht, Wildes, Baileys, Cannell's, Malbasics, Sortmans, and Abby's parents from Butte. There was a little football fun that same morning.
