halloween

Our Halloween fun began on Friday night with a stop in to celebrate not only the holiday, but Jamey's birthday.

me, Jamey, and her daughter Chris
One of Jamey's best friends Diana.  She was the evening entertainer!  I don't think Ryan and I have laughed that hard for a long time. She was hilarious!
Chris stole Hank's breast plate and turned it into her tooshy.
He looked ok without it though!

Jamey's granddaughter Frankie has got to be the cutest thing I have ever seen.  And, her little personality is adorable!

Diana sure has talent for U-G-L-Y!!

On Saturday we stopped by to see the Bailey kids, but they were not in costume yet.  Instead Alden showed us his latest Lego accomplishment.
 he's so proud!
then our annual Halloween tradition: to visit the Barnson's.  Here I am with the two oldest boys, Coleman and Cooper.  They were very beautiful as women, don't ya think?
I don't think I have ever seen a cuter hippie girl.  Little Brecken is growing up so much!

Ryan went out as a die hard UTES fan.  He doesn't have them showing, but I even painted his nails red.
By the nights end, I was red!

Ryan's friend Melissa decided to meet up with us.  It was fun to finally meet her.  She's a cute girl.

And, we found her a man.  A cute Montana boy.  I think Braden is a keeper.  She just needs to realize it!

Happy Halloween!

bff's

This is what bff's do just because they are in tune, and they care.
Thank you.
They are almost as beautiful as you.
I love you Chal.

patience

I don't really talk about it.  If questioned, I will be honest.  That's about it.  But, I do want to be a mom.  It has been much different to eventually become one than I thought.  2.5 years+....

This is this past January for me:
and they say I am good.
(It HURT.  BAD.)

This is today for Ry:
and I really hope they say he is good.... cuz I think he is.

L-I-V-E

I don't want my life to become tablecloths, scrapbooks, and homemade crap.  I was just doing a bit of blog stalking, and I was nauseated.  Sorry if I sound judgemental, but I don't want to turn into BORING.  I know, I know..."no news is good news".  But, let's just make an agreement now, my dear friends.  You have every right and every permission to call me on the carpet if you ever catch me becoming BORING.
zzzzzzzzzzz
just shoot me.

girl time

My mom planned a girls weekend for she and her 4 daughters and 2 daughter-in-laws to get together.  We met up on Thursday night and stayed up at Snowbird til Saturday morning.  It was really good to see my lil sis Raenie who lives in Pueblo who I don't see very often.  And, I guess I can mention that hanging out with Susan is always entertaining.

I think my mom is still trying to understand why I wasn't into quilting for the less fortunate.  I told her I would just go buy a quilt from Wal-Mart for $40, donate it, and feel very charitable in doing so.  But, she feels differently, which is just fine...she was just disappointed in my futile efforts in tying the knots.

iron out

My latest purchase and home project.
A wall mounted ironing board.
Maybe now I will iron a few things here and there.
We'll see...

Thanks for hanging it up, Ryan.  Even though it is not anchored properly, causing you much grief and even more excuses for use of your favorite phrase: "I told ya so!"

(there are no studs in the wall right there...any suggestions to reinforce it are welcome! If you could help me 'iron out' my dilemma, I would be ever so grateful!)

proof

I admit that I am a bit of a clean freak.  I like order, and I like clean.  I try really hard not to burden my husband with my need for clean, ie: asking him to help me clean, or expecting him to help me clean.  It is my thing, I cannot expect him to think like me, or prefer things the way I do.  Nonetheless, I thought I would post this photo just for him.  As proof.  My cleaning day is Friday.  EVERY Friday the house gets a top to bottom spotless clean.  He thinks it very unnecessary.  "The house IS clean! Why do you need to do it AGAIN?!"  he says.   Well, my dear sweet Ryan.  After just one week, this is what I swept up in our "CLEAN" home.
And that is just from one tidy woman, a dirt oblivious husband, and a 10 lb puppy.

skyline drive

We took a drive from Bountiful to Farmington on Skyline Drive.  It was so beautiful, with a lot of fall color and a definite feel that the winter season is close by.  I highly recommend this drive, but be careful.  There are lots of narrow roads and sharp turns.

I had to get out and play in the snow for a sec!  You can't see, but I am even barefoot.
Don't worry... I didn't hit my husband with a snowball!  His first statement once I threw it: (between laughing) "you have got to be the worst shot ever!"

...but, that's okay! 'The little engine that could' is gonna keep on throwing!

outside

Oakleaf Lane.
Where we reside.
From the Outside.

And... We bought a new set of wheels.  A 2008.  Nissan Frontier.  Not a Toyota like we planned.  But, still a good truck and a great deal. Although Ryan has buyers remorse, I am content.  He had buyers remorse after the purchase of Oakleaf Lane as well.  But, guess what? He loves it now.

He'll love his new truck soon enough...

peacocks

If you haven't been to Taggart's Grill in Morgan, you should go.  It is a great time of year, with the leaves changing, the scenic drive up Weber Canyon, a delicious menu, a great patio surrounded by beautiful landscape....
and

 Peacocks!  My favorite!
