I love all my nephews very much, and have feels for them all.
I think my connection to Zach is special because he was my first. I officially became an auntie when I was 20, and he was born. He's always talked to me. During every developmental phase of his growth. While most kids, when they hit puberity (esp boys), shut down, quit talking, and instead mostly use grunts, nods, yeses, and nos in response to any outside initiation of conversation ...he never went through that, at least not with me.
So, as our connection and relationship has stayed fluid throughout almost 22 years of his life (and mine), it's clear why "he's my boy", and Zach and I have 'a thing'.
