cincinnati

We flew to Cincinnati to visit the Spitale's over a long weekend.  It was good to see their new home in Mariemont Village, and for me to be back home for just a minute!  Although it's not exactly Canton, it is Ohio, and there's a lot that is the same, and feels the same! Fall is probably the most beautiful time of year there, so we chose a good time to travel back!  Dare was a great friend to Alex and a patient little traveler!  We went to a couple different fall harvest and pumpkin farms, enjoyed the park, and of course indulged in some pretty spectacular food that Giovanni smoked for us!

This was a super messy project! But Dare was proud of the spider that we hung in our entryway for the whole month of October!

Darrell went down to Kanab to speak at the kids' grandpa Jerry's funeral. He's such a good man, grandpa, and friend.  Our kids are lucky to have him!

Happy 83rd birthday to Grandma Gayle! Dare was real excited to take her the 3 cupcakes, with an 8. He sure has a thing for her! Lately he's been loving her green smoothies, activia yogurt, and homemade peach jam.

Dare was so happy to know that the Pratt's decided to spend part of their fall break in Utah! "Lulu and all his cousins" are his fave! It was kind of a crazy week because his fall break started Friday, at the end of the week when they arrived, and we had already planned and booked a trip to Cincinnati, so he was already going to miss Thursday as well. So, as it turned out, I, being the awesome mom that I am, allowed him to have a sleepover at Grandma and Papa Foutz on Monday night with his cousins, and then skip school on Tuesday so he could play all day with them. So he only ended up attending school Monday and Wednesday that week in October. But, family and cousin time is much more important when you're in kindergarten! 樂藍❤

Chal and  Ben invite us every year to their cul-de-sac party. It's pretty involved, and I'm amazed at how much effort her neighbors put into it! Dare always has fun, and it's a great way to involve all ages in an otherwise mostly child centered holiday!

I love these sweet babes. They are THE BEST of sibs. Together they gut laugh, fight, forgive, play, dance, act sillier than ever, create and imagine, confide,  and protect. We will forever be grateful that sis has been in Dare's life from his start.
