sis weekend

Mij planned a sissie getaway for us all to meet up in Moab Sept 27-30. Raenie and Janet came together from Colorado, and Mij, CeeCee, and I drove together. It was a much needed getaway, and was so fun to spend uninterrupted time together! We hiked to the delicate arch, went to four corners (with a pit stop in Monticello to see the Cranes), layed out at the pool, ate lots of food, went to deadhorse point, and talked and laughed A LOT!! Cheers to sisterhood and the bond that comes with that.

I'm always trying to find ways to "craft", because Dare is always begging to do crafts. So the last couple weekends we have painted. One time with acrylic paint, and another time with shaving cream paint.

Grandma Gayle picked Dare up from school on Wednesday, and apparently he went over to her house after and did some more homework

Chal and I threw a baby shower for Katie and her soon to arrive baby boy!! We are so excited for her! We're so happy to have such a long lasting friendship with her for so many years...all the way back to when Chal first started doing her nails when she was just 18. And now, at age 37 she'll become a mama for the first time...the same age I was when Dare was born!

I wish he was always this nice. This calm. And this angelic. Seeing him in this peaceful state quiets me and reels me to a place where I remember what's important and refreshes the huge love I have for this little (BIG) soul.
