Dare was flying high when he found out that he was going to be able to have a sleepover at cousins Coleson and Will's house! He is on spring break right now, so was able to go over on Monday afternoon, spend the night, go to the zoo with them on Tuesday morning, and play all day Tuesday until I could pick him up after I was done working! He was one happy, but definitely worn out little boy by the time I got him home and in the bath last night! My heart is so happy when he's able to spend good, quality time with those boys! He fits right into the Wolfpack!

chucks
After continual rejection from Mom (because, "Gosh darn it Dare! Every time you ask me to take you there, it's been on a day that they are closed!") wink. wink.
So...I finally promised Dare I'd take him to Chuck-E-Cheese after I was done with work today.
I'm not really sure why I don't love that place so hard... it really isn't as awful as nickelcade or many other arcades that I have been to over the years. I think it's just the fact that it is Chuck-E-Cheese. That it's so overrated, overpriced, and usually full of what Chal would call "unruly dirty insurgents".
But he loves it so much, gets so much pleasure and fun in winning the tickets, just so he can March right up to that sticky glass trophy/prize case and spend them on Taiwan import crap (that is, without fail, dismissed within an hour of exiting the premise). But, I suppose it is pretty cute to watch the child get so momentarily enthused! And he's getting better and better at playing the games, requiring less adult supervision and assistance, so that makes it a bit more tolerable.

kids vs adults
Tex was in charge while the adults (Ben, Chal, me, Ry, Stefan, Mags) went to dinner at Caffe Molise. We were gone for a solid few hours, and they couldn't have cared less. But, we weren't too concerned either...😂
