At Marianne's party there were 2 gift exchanges.  One for the kids, and one for the adults.  Dare was so NOT ok with the gift he ended up getting!  His reaction was priceless!  "I'm not a girl! This is for a girl!" And, although it was the gift Navy brought, he didn't know this, so he insisted she take it, and he was satisfied with a whole pack of unopened gum that I just happened to have in my purse that night.  

And, another backpack from Yellowstone from Matt and Jen... the same one that CeeCee brought back for him when she traveled there last spring!  But, we'll just keep that a lil secret!

It was a super great gift to wake up on Christmas morning to fresh snow, and lots of it!  Dad made sure that he and Dare were able to get out there and test out his new sled from Santa!

Like all years, mom and dad like to get us all together before Christmas for a family party. I love that it has become a time for Dare to look forward to, because he knows his cousins will be there.  He loves them so much! 

I'm laughing at how this photo captured dad so perfectly, in his element of "sharing" his innermost feelings and perspectives.  In true Dad Foutz form.
