Ryan and I picked up Dare from Miss Annie's on Thursday, and decided to take a drive.  We ended up here, and stopped for an impromptu photo shoot.  Gotta love those Samsung Cameras on the Androids!

In all the many trips over the past few years that Ryan and I have made into the Uintahs's to get firewood, he has never taken me far enough up the road to see this beautiful place that I had only heard about.  So, on Sunday, when we took our final drive for the season to get one last load of wood, he drove a bit farther up so that I could take in some mother nature beauty.   It was such a beautiful day, and I am so glad we took the extra time so that we could soak up some more of natures love into our souls.

Now that he is 6 months, I started feeding him solids.  His first meal was sweet potatoes and prunes.

weekend visit

Tay and Ty came for a visit last weekend.  It was so good to spend some time with them.

It has been six years since Chal and I have seen our long lost friend Melissa.  It was so fun to reconnect the other night and catch up on everything. It's amazing that in many ways, although a lot has changed, so much is still the same.

I was just going through my photo gallery on my phone the other day, and was reminded of a few photos that I have not cataloged anywhere.  So, what better place than here?

Dare LOVES bath time

My friend Carolyn bought him this onesie and brought it to the hospital when he was born.  Her goal: "To geek him out"  He finally is big enough to be a geek. So funny. 

Each night it is story time with Daddy.  And Bogey MUST be involved.  He cannot stand it if he is not in on all the action.

This was a sad morning.  Dare had not slept for over 24 hours.  I finally got him to be calm and sleep.  I think it lasted 20 minutes, but I was so relieved to see him sleeping, I had to take a photo.  About an hour later, at a visit to Dr. Paul, we found out he had an ear infection.  So sad.  Poor baby couldn't sleep cuz the pressure was too much when we would lay him down.  Thank goodness for fast acting antibiotics and Tylenol!  He was better in no time. 

I love that he can finally use his Phil&Teds.  Miss Kathy bought this for him last December, when he was still a swimming fish in utero ;)  As far as I'm concerned, this is the best thing ever!  I don't have the hassle of a high chair and where to store it, but it serves the same purpose.  And, for now, he can just sit in it and play while I am in the kitchen area.  Thanks Kath!!

Here he is sporting the outfit that my friend Brenda's mom Tina gave him at my shower.  It cracks me up, because I still remember her saying "this is a wild and crazy one" referring to the caterpillar outfit.  He is as cute as a bug.

NO, he is not really doing this on his own yet.  Thank goodness!  That is why the blurred photo.  I propped him up, snapped the photo, and then finished just in time to hurry and catch him before he fell backwards.  I am sure that soon, I am not going to think this act to be so cute!
