photo roll

I almost forgot to journal Dare's first shots. This was on July 5th at his 3rd check-up with Dr. Paul. He was totally oblivious to what was about to happen.

And here are the boo boo's on both thighs.  I felt so bad for him. He was so brave though. ;)

Auntie Tara went to Paris a year ago, and brought this back for him... in hopes that he was going to arrive!

And, just a few photos from my recent camera roll on the Samsung:

now....let's see...

Ok, that flash just freaked me out!

his new friend "Bear".  Bogey is way jealous, and thinks it should be his toy.

He sure loves his daddy!

the reveal

July 23, 2013
A long awaited day.  With not knowing the gender of this little baby of my biffy's, this moment was much anticipated.
Me, Chal, Nikki

Chal needed a pedicure in the worst way.  It did not happen at the salon.  So, my supplies were packed, and I did what I could to remedy the crisis, prior to the arrival.  I got the base coat applied, and that was all.  She went from a 3 to a 9 in 25 minutes!  We thought we had all the time in the world...but not so much!

Here she is discussing her "birthing plan" with Dr. Merrill.  We LOVE those gals with BP's!

This is how it went:  first, lip gloss

then a few jokes,

then a little push, and a reach,

and IT"S A GIRL!!!!  As noted in this capture, there were a few moments of overwhelming joy and emotion.  I am surprised I even caught this moment, because I was pretty much bawling.

such a happy mama

Coco arrived a few minutes after the reveal.  This is her look of shock when told the gender.  Great moment!

7lbs 7 oz

Ben did not leave her side.

Such a proud daddy.  He wanted a girl so badly.  I am so happy his wish was granted!

Dr. M being all official.

Happy. Happy.

Sweet and calm.

proud daddy again

And,  I couldn't finish my day of joy without a photo op.
Amazing.
Miracle.
Love.
and pride.
This is what makes EVERYTHING in life all OK.

I love my Chal.  I love my new baby girl... with a thousand names to come.
The end.
But, not really.

weekend visit

We had a fun weekend visit from our Ohio/North Carolina friends!  It was so great to see Heidi, Melissa, and Heiko, and to meet Leo for the first time!  He is exactly 3 weeks older than Dare, so we were excited for the 2 guys to hook up and meet, since they are going to be buds for life!

We put shoes on both of them.  It makes them look so grown up!

It was a great visit, and sad to say goodbye this morning.  It is so nice to have friends that are just so chill and so easy to be with.  Cheers to many more visits to come!

i love

I love his naked bum.  And, he loves being naked.

I love this time early early in the morning.  He is so bright eyed, happy, alert, and content.  He smiles at me and tells me he loves me ;)

first swim

When we went down to see baby T, we stayed at the Marriott.  Ryan decided that Dare needed to have his first swim.  So, here he is just chilling before we put him in the pool.

The water was kinda cold, so he didn't quite know what to think of that.  And, then I put him all the way under, and he really didn't like that.  He cried, and then he quit, and then he was fine.

Now, he is just fine with daddy!

baby titan

Taylor had her baby on July 3, 2013 in Cedar City.
His name is Titan O. Pollock.
He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz.

Dad and Grandpa

I decided when he can talk, he can call me GoGo.  For those who know me, it is appropriate, right?  And, I'm not quite ready at age 37 to be called granny.

Congrats to the Pollocks! We wish you the best!

little firecracker

Our little firecracker wants to say Happy 4th of July!

Thanks Granny L for the outfit!
