More projects.
Our first cord of wood that we fetched from the Uintahs.  3 more to go...

And, he just wasn't quite satisfied with the pergola posts.
So, here's what's making him happy.

Lots of plums, and plenty more to be picked soon.
And, more from Ryan's novice garden.

steve martin

Thursday night was another one of our Red Butte Concert nights.
With the overcast skies, and the slight breeze, it was a perfect temperature for an outdoor venue.
This is from my phone, so not so great on quality, but Steve is the one in the white pants.
They were a great band, and he makes the show so entertaining with his wit and comic.
Good times up at the RBG.

fireworks

We were in San Diego on July 4th.  And, this was the extent of the fireworks show.  There was an electrical malfunction and for some reason 3 different shows fireworks all exploded at once, sounding like this huge sonic boom... and then.... NOTHING.  It wasn't until the next morning when it was all over national news that we learned what had happened.  Needless to say, we didn't see fireworks over the 4th...

But, thanks to Utah's state holiday celebration for the 24th, to Bountiful city's production, and to Chal and Ben for purchasing the best located home in Bountiful, we were able to have front row seats on their back deck to a pretty spectacular show last night.

Lots of Ooohs and AWWWes.
and then... Yaaawn.
Time for bed. ;)

love. hate.

I love this pretty tree
But.
I hate it underneath.
This is one of at least 7 buckets of mush that I have picked/scooped up off the grass below.

Yuck. Stink. Bugs.

Our Beach Vacation with the kids in San Diego at the Surf Rider.

"Slo Mo" passing by

SEA WORLD

It was WAY chilly on the 4th of July

Tay's favorite: dippin dots

We ran into "Slo Mo"

Our last night.  So sad that the vacay is over.  But, we had a really nice time.

Good bye Mission Beach and our Beloved Surf Rider!

built by ryan

This is Ryan's latest creation.  I am so proud.  Our backyard is becoming more and more inviting.

And, here is the backyard Jenga game that he made for us.  We tried it out tonight, and of course... I was the one who made it crash!
