circus circus

Amongst the potato sack races, the cotton candy, a little pin the tail on the donkey, the decorated circus people, the castle jump house, and friends galore, our girl Becca managed to have herself quite the birthday party.  She knows how to plan a good time, and we thank her for sharing the festivities with us!

Birthday girl Becca
and, her main man Colter
Amy the tightrope walker
Lynzie the tatooed woman
Danny the hula hoop man
Craiggers walking the runway
the jump house fun house
We could not stop giggling.  There is something about the combination of adults and jump houses, and the giggles start, and they just don't stop..... especially when Ryan got in to join us!  We have decided we need to look into getting one of these for a summer party!

one year older and wiser too

Happy Birthday to my OLDest sis Mij (aka: Mijken)
We ate a little food at the parents table, shared a few moments, and had some cake.

During our trip we took Bogey on a little detour to visit Best Friends Animal Santuary in Kanab.

He didn't know what hit him.  He was so stoned.  But, now he's fixed, and his dew claws are eliminated.
Thanks Best Friends!

It was that time again for the men to be men and go blend in with the wild, on the hunt for the perfect buck.

and, this is what I enjoyed:
the escape from the everyday, the beauty of nature, the peace in the quiet wind.

pc arts

We almost pooped out on the Park City Arts Festival this year.  With our move and all our projects and a weekend full of yard work, we were exhausted and unsure on our stamina.  But, we both decided it just wouldn't be the same if we didn't keep up the tradition and trek on up there.  We are so glad we did too, because we were able to complete our decor in our TV room with 3 new prints that are framed and on the wall now!  As always, it was good to get away, enjoy the relaxed feel of PC, the outdoor music, and all the other good stuff that the festival brings and attracts! Cheers to another year of enjoyment!

absense

I have been out of the blogger loop and mode for a few weeks, with good reason.  We have established a new residence!  On July 31 we moved from Courtyard Lane to Oakleaf Lane.  Condo to Home.  Little space to lots more space.  No yard work to lots of yard work.  Less organized to organized.  Happy together in a humble abode, to happy together in a humble abode that is ours together.  Anyway, I am so excited for this transition... it has been a long time coming, with lots of anticipation.  We are completely moved in, and with a few more pieces of furniture and decor, I will feel settled.  We have met a few neighbors on our quiet little street and it seems to be a friendly neighborhood.  I will post photos soon.  It has been a little crazy!

meet the sutherlands

Recently Ryan and I went to our good friend Misti's wedding.  She found the man of her dreams, and we could not be more happy for them!  They are perfect for each other, and it was so great to see her so at peace, ready to move forward with her life, and to witness their coming together, as well as their children.  They make a 'picture perfect' family, and the kids all get along so well.  I am very thrilled for her, and I love Justin... he is her perfect match!
Here's a few photos of the evening.
Introducing: The Sutherlands

I love that as much as she doesn't like cowboy boots, she wore a pair just to surprise her man! He was so happy.  It cracked me up....good 'ol Misti Lou.

draper nights

It was time again for our annual get-together with the Heugly's at Draper Days.  It is our third year joining them to enjoy dinner and then some outdoor music.  This year we listened to 2 bands, the second one being a band impersonating the Beatles.  It was pretty entertaining, but mostly our enjoyment came from the company we were in, and the people watching.
Here's Jimmy and Sharon
The 'wanna be' Beatles.
As always, we had an enjoyable time, and made some new memories with our dear friends.
